Google Cloud Server hosting prices can vary based on the amount of resources you need, but there are also some obvious benefits that come with using this service over other options.

Google Cloud Platform pricing is based on three main components: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage and BigQuery.
Compute Engine is used to run virtual machines (VMs), which can be deployed from different machine types that are available in various regions around the world. The price for a VM depends on the machine type and region you are using it in. The list of VMs types can be found here
Cloud Storage allows you to store data in the cloud, where it becomes accessible through different APIs such as Google Cloud Storage or Google Drive API. For storing data in the cloud, you pay for each GB of storage used per month by default or alternatively you have an option to buy prepaid storage at lower prices than using auto-renewal mode.
Is Google Cloud free? You can run the cloud SQL instance and cloud storage for free (within certain limits). Compute engine will cost you. (Note: You need a credit card to sign up, even if you are going to be in the free tier). There is no time limit on the free tier.

Here’s why: Compute Engine costs money for every hour it runs, so Google needs some way of tracking who has been using it and how long they have been using it for each month/year/whatever period they choose to bill against (usually monthly). You may also get charged if someone else uses your account or submits an invoice under your name without your permission—so make sure that only people who should have access do actually have access!
